And the \u003ci\u003eBlack and White \u003c\/i\u003ecookie has stood on the city’s deli counters for over a century—a symbol of contrasts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eSo I combined white chocolate chunks with almonds in one recipe. And dark chocolate, cacao and cashews in the other.  Different tastes and textures juxtaposed. Black and white in name but—like New York—contrasting perspectives, beliefs and flavors in reality.
