Carrot Cake Granola

Follow the sweet smell of baking past through the vegetable garden. Under the milk wood find May’s crunchy flavor—Carrot Cake Granola. 

Inspired by the classic dessert, I mixed almonds and turmeric with earthy notes of carrot. I replaced the traditional layers of frosting with cream cheese baking chips. Baroque with walnuts and bejeweled with golden raisins, this recipe is twenty-four carats of pure deliciousness and certifiably one of the best granolas I have ever made.
