Yuzu Custard

For March I combined three of my all time favorite flavors: effervescent yuzu, earthy black sesame and—yes—creamy custard. I give you: Yuzu Custard.

At once smooth, salubrious and strangely comforting, velvety custard pairs perfectly with vivacious yuzu peel from my favorite gourmet purveyor—The Yuzu Co. Add a splash of their fresh yuzu juice too. Then a sprinkling of Kurogoma black sesame seeds for an exceedingly crunchy granola with nutty and tangy notes of citrus and vanilla.
