Berry Cobbler

Any southerner will tell you—Cobblers are summer in a skillet. Macerate mixed berries in buttermilk biscuit and you get our July flavor—Berry Cobbler.

First created by English settlers craving suet pudding. They baked biscuits, dumplings, or scone batter in their sticky fillings. Now every State stews  a different fruit in their cobblers.

Texans like cherries. In West Virginia—it’s blackberries. North Carolina—strawberry. Blueberry in Mississippi. Raspberries , cranberries—I mixed all of America’s favorite berries together with homestyle biscuits and a touch of vanilla.
